Homeschool 7 Evening Edition: Catching up After the Beach

Before falling asleep from joyful exhaustion on the two hour drive home from our six day family beach vacation all Maxwell wanted to talk about was hope we were going to do homeschool when we got home. Instead of reminiscing about flying his first kite, playing in the pool or building a sand castle he was looking forward to revealing the number of the day, singing our hello song, and charting today’s weather. I could have chosen to wait until we could start a new week, but I felt rewarding his enthusiasm for learning was more important.

Several bonuses to doing homeschool this evening were that we were able to catch up our calendar, erase last week’s nursery rhyme together and most excitingly Daddy got to attend class as well.
